Signing Contract on Affiliation and Academic Cooperation between Avicenna and Kazakh National University (Al-Farabi)
Avicenna signed a memorandum of understanding with the Kazakh National University (Al-Farabi). The MoU was signed on Tuesday 14 April 2016 by AU Academic Vice Chancellor, Dr. Zaker Hussain Ershad, and his Al-Farabi counterpart in Almaty, the capital of Kazakhstan. The MoU was signed during a trip by AU delegation, comprising University’s Academic Vice Chancellor, Head of Admin and Finance Department and the Dean of Political Science Faculty, to Kazakhstan to visit the country’s educational institutes and universities and exploring cooperation potentials between Avicenna and Kazakh academic community. The MoU requires the two universities to collaborate on educational and research issues. Collaboration includes a variety of subjects from exchanging students and professors, to undertaking joint research projects, sharing experiences on curriculum review and reform, cooperating on producing and publishing academic journals, conducting academic seminars, sharing academic products and launching study tours for students and professors of the two universities.
