Business economics

1.    Business Economics
Business Economics is meant to introduce students to descriptive and analytical aspects of macro and microeconomics, production management, marketing management, agricultural economics, electronic trading and its application methods, financial regulations, audit types and accounting principles. Business Economics students also learn formulating policy and decision making through decision making models and certain quantitative methods.

Business Economics bachelor’s program is aimed at tackling structural unemployment, i.e. demand-supply inconsistency. Private and government institutions, banks and corporations are in dire need of experts and skills economists.

Business economy bachelor’s program consists of general, essential, special and optional courses. Having passed them successfully, a student will be entitled to receive a credible certificate.

It is a branch of applied economics. Business economics graduates could, in addition to gaining finance, accounting, management and marketing skills, serve as analyst to study economic problems and challenges, including phenomena such as supply and demand, production, types of costs, types of markets, inflation, unemployment, national product, budgeting, economic indicators and their application in Afghanistan economy.

Required competency
Business economics student shall have strong command of math to use as analytic tools in economic analysis of equation, chart and graph.

Job Opportunities
Business economics graduates can get employed in several institutions including ministries of economics, commerce, finance and admin areas. They may also find a job in central bank, central statistics office and private sector companies.
