Study Tour to the National Museum for AU Students
As part of its serial study tours, AU Students’ Association organized a study tour to the National Museum. During this tour, more than a hundred students visited the National Museum and the country’s historical monuments. Dr. Zahra Lotfi guided students throughout the excursion. Describing archaeological monuments, particularly ancient statues, she said, before Islam, people used to demonstrate their customs and traditions through sculptures. However, following advent of Islam, that culture was exterminated and was replaced by calligraphy and mosque.
